Benge 90B’s hand-crafted, hand-fitted, hand adjusted from mouthpiece to bell.

Special drawn tubing is used on all Benge instruments. This tubing is then redrawn on precision mandrels to maintain the exact mating of inside and outside slides. After drawing tubing, it is checked with micrometers to insure exact tolerances. Perfectly mated dies and mandrels are used. The unequalled valve mechanism is achieved by the unusual care given to pistons and casings. They are precision machined and individually lapped by hand. The Benge is renowned for its valve action.

All adjustable slides are designed with undercut tubes on the inside slide. This design achieves the best possible slide action. Each slide is hand-lapped to ensure perfect fit for playing accuracy and response. The finest craftsmen hand-check every slide.

Skilled craftsmen ensure dimensional accuracy of all parts for each respective bore. You can depend on every Benge maintaining its constant bore characteristics.

Benge bells are handcrafted to 4 3/4 “ diameter from a one-piece special alloy brass and are resno-tempered for the ultimate tone and response. This exclusive process was developed by Elden Benge and has been used for the past 35 years.

Specs: Leonore, .459" (11.65mm) bore, 4-7/8" (124mm) #23 one-piece bell, #30 leadpipe. This trumpet produces a full, rich, centered tone that holds at all dynamic levels. Silver plate, 3C mouthpiece, 7555L deluxe woodshell case.
