Eastman ETB324 Student Tenor Trombone in Bb
Eastman Wind & Brass instruments are developed in close collaboration with S.E. Shires — one of the most respected names in professional trombone making — bringing the design sensibility of handcrafted American brass instruments to a student price point. The ETB324 is the result: a genuine quality instrument built using techniques drawn from the world’s finest brasswind makers, not a commodity horn that happens to be cheap.
The 8” bell is handspun from yellow brass, a process that creates a more consistent wall thickness than pressed bells and contributes directly to the ETB324’s warm, full tone across all registers. The .500” medium bore is the ideal choice for a beginning student — providing enough resistance to support proper air column development and embouchure formation without requiring the physical demand of a larger bore instrument. It’s a genuinely musical horn that will reward good technique as it develops.
The hand-matched nickel silver outer slides are a standout feature at this price level. Nickel silver outer slides are harder, more corrosion-resistant, and produce a faster, more consistent action than standard brass outer slides — and the hand-matching process ensures the fit is precise rather than just adequate. The chrome-plated inner slides complete a pairing designed for smooth, reliable action from day one. The epoxy lacquer finish adds durability alongside a warm tonal character.
Supplied with a mouthpiece and a robust ABS moulded case.
