The Purest Tonewood Pairing When choosing the woods for the True Tone Series, I went straight to the heart of acoustic guitar history, mahogany and spruce.
This is the classic combination that underpins so many great songs. It’s warm, dynamic, and balanced — with a voice that invites you in and pushes you to play more. We use AA-grade solid Sitka spruce tops with AA-grade solid mahogany back and sides, and every top and back is individually optimized for maximum resonance.
