Xtreme Keyboard Double-Braced Stool

I have used Xtreme piano stools from various music shops for over 200 gigs, and recently bought a new one - the double braced stools are robust, and should be simple to adjust. However, the most recent one has collapsed in use on several occasions, and I would not buy one again. Pity.

I would love to change this to another stool as the stool has collapsed twice on me while using it and I almost sustained a serious injury to my head.
Not a good design and could I exchange this to another one?
